Santo Antonio is a fourth-generation family farm nestled in the mountainous region of Mantiqueira de Minas, Brazil. Coffee has been a part of the Alckmin family’s story since 1933, when Alcides Moreira, great-grandfather of the current owner, planted the first trees. Today, the farm is led by Carolina Alckmin, who continues that legacy with a clear focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Sitting at elevations up to 1,300m, the farm’s steep terrain means everything is harvested by hand — a slower, more intentional process that allows for greater control and consistency. The result is clean, fruit-driven coffees with structure and depth, perfect for espresso and milk based drinks.
Over the years, we’ve seen the Santo Antonio team push every aspect of production forward, from selective picking to post-harvest processing. They offer a wide range of styles — from naturals and pulped naturals to experimental fermentations — always with care and precision.
Their commitment goes beyond the cup. One hectare of native forest is preserved for every two hectares of coffee planted. Solar power helps run the farm, and waste from processing is repurposed as fuel or compost. They’re also involved in important community initiatives, including:
Frutificar – a project encouraging women’s participation in coffee cultivation, from planting to harvest.
The Community Garden – a shared space where farm families grow organic vegetables to improve nutrition and food security.
This coffee is a reflection of all that — thoughtful farming, strong values, and a deep connection to the land.
