Third-generation producer Diego Horta grew up learning coffee the long way - harvest discipline, plant care, fertilisation, and the small processing tweaks that change everything in the cup. In 2018, at just 20, he took over El Rincón in the vereda El Encanto and set a clear focus on specialty coffee, new varieties, and precise processing. He’s since become a youth voice in Huila and a consistent producer of exceptionally clean, complex naturals - no small feat in Colombia.

El Rincón sits on steep mountain slopes at 1,600–1,700 masl and is planted with Gesha, Pacamara, Chiroso, Pink Bourbon, Colombia, Caturra, Blue Mountain, and Maragogipe. The farm runs as a small, circular system alongside plantains, yucca, avocados, bananas, a family garden, and a chicken coop - diversity that helps keep the soils healthy and the project resilient.

This lot is Diego’s Natural Gesha from El Rincón. It reflects the same tidy approach he’s honed over the last five years: careful cherry selection, controlled whole-cherry fermentation, and slow drying to protect the variety’s clarity and structure. It’s a quietly confident coffee from a producer who’s pushing Huila forward.
