El Diviso is the kind of project that makes you remember why specialty coffee is exciting in the first place. It’s a family story (3rd generation on the land), but it’s also a “new generation” story: Nestor and his brother Adrian took over the family farm and made a hard pivot toward differentiated processing and specialty lots. Years of trial, error, and reinvesting back into infrastructure, they’ve built a foundation that lets them consistently produce coffees that stand out on a global stage.

What we love most is how visible their curiosity is. You’ll see Nestor and his close friend Jhoan Vergara deep in the competition world, nerding out with baristas, swapping ideas, and pushing fermentation forward. It’s not experimentation for the sake of it - it’s a focused pursuit of quality, consistency, and genuinely thought-provoking coffees.

This lot is Typica Mejorado, a variety that’s become famous for a reason, and it’s handled here as a natural with extended fermentation - a process choice that takes confidence, patience, and serious control. We’ve been genuinely ecstatic to finally share it.
