Café De La Torre Aus is a socially responsible Colombian company founded in 2014 with the goal of supporting coffee growers. The company was born out of a desire to help their father get better prices for his coffee beans by Félix Morantes and his sister Yodi. Their father owns a 10-hectare farm called Finca Hoyo Frío, located in Curiti, Santander.
After successfully finding a good market for his coffee, Felix and Yodi decided to extend their support to other coffee producers in Santander and other areas of Colombia, with the aim to help these farmers sell their beans directly to roasters at fair prices.
Café De La Torre Aus takes pride in offering fully traceable coffee from the farmers themselves. All coffees are priced by the farmers who own them until they are sold to roasters. By cutting out intermediaries, they ensure that the farmers receive fair prices for their hard work and dedication.
This approach not only helps the growers but also ensures that the coffee is of the highest quality, as the company works closely with the growers to ensure that they use sustainable farming practices. Additionally, Café De La Torre Aus is dedicated to promoting Colombian coffee culture both locally and internationally and has become well-known for its high-quality coffee products.
This Kiwi/Yeast fermentation Honey processed beans comes from La India. The farm has been producing coffee for over 30 years. In 2014, Mr Hector Herrera and his family acquired the farm and have been working to improve the coffee growing processes as well as other agricultural activities. Coffee is one of the main products grown on the farm, with a focus on specialty coffee.
