This washed lot comes from La Coipa, a remote coffee-producing area in the highlands of northern Peru, where elevations above 1,900 masl and volcanic soils create the ideal backdrop for slow coffee maturation. The producers behind this coffee are part of Falcon Coffees Peru, a long-term project committed to unlocking the country’s quality potential through deep-rooted relationships with smallholder farmers.
Falcon operates out of Jaén, Cajamarca, where they provide cupping labs, drying facilities, and hands-on training in post-harvest practices - helping hundreds of farmers gain access to fairer prices and feedback on quality. Many taste their coffees for the first time here, discovering the link between process, flavour, and value.
We don’t always have the full farm-level story for every lot - but what we do know is that this coffee carries the care of a growing community, determined to challenge old expectations and elevate what Peruvian coffee can be.
